Last night I went to watch The Dark Knight Rises with my sister and some friends (yes, I know, what took so long?), but to put it simply, it was a wonderful conclusion to Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. There's too much to discuss in one blog of course, but to point out things I love about Nolan's Batman, is that instead of your average Superhero defeats Villain movies, he incorporates the complexity within the situation. As kids, we never questioned what is good and what's bad, we never asked why is the villain doing this or why our hero approached the situation the way they did. Nolan brings that into play making a very smart superhero movie with more than one level of ethical issues. That being said, the movie was awesome, doesn't have to be better than the Dark Knight, just has to finish the story, and it did well.
